What is Where's Puppy's Nose? for Baby?

The Laugh & Learn Where’s Puppy’s Nose? For Baby is an education gaming app created for children 6 months of age and older. This app is available in the App Store and the Google Play Store and is rated for users of all ages. It does not feature any in-app purchases or advertisements.

When users first download the app they will be asked to agree to a privacy statement from Fisher-Price. Since this app is created for very young children, it’s user interface is very simple and does not offer many options.

The homepage offers a settings button that will allow parents to turn the home button on or off, that will prevent their child from leaving the game. It also offers the option to turn off sounds and music.

Designed for babies aged six months and older, Where’s Puppy’s Nose? uses animation to teach little ones where body parts are located. The game uses two engaging, animated characters as guides, Puppy, Frog, and Kitty. Toddlers will have fun tapping, tilting, and learning all about body parts, movements, and basic vocabulary.

There are two skill levels available within this app. One is intended for babies and the other for young toddlers. The game begins with Puppy, but also features frog and kitty. Once users tap through the game, the screen finishes with a song featuring the body parts the player has just learned.

Level one features different animals that teach kids body parts when they tap the screen. The baby version has a simplified interface, allowing your child to tap anywhere on the screen to engage animations, while the toddler version lets players select which animal characters they want to interact with and uses verbal prompts to quiz them on vocabulary.

Level two differs in that it is now a question and answer game where the narrator asks players to locate different body parts on puppy and kitty. These short games also end with the same songs as level one.

This app is generally well reviewed on both the app stores with some complaints about not being able to get past the user agreement.

Is Where's Puppy's Nose? for Baby safe for my kids?

The Where’s Puppy’s Nose? for Babies app is absolutely safe for kids. Seeing as it is made by Fisher-Price, a company that make an entire array of kids toys and products, parents will have nothing to worry about.

The settings offered within this app help parents even further by preventing the frustration of kids accidentally leaving their game as well as options for muting the game.

Parents should know though, that the game isn’t really playable once the sound is muted. The game will still point out body parts such as eyes and nose but kids won’t be able to hear the questions or the songs.

With this app, there are no in-app purchases or advertisements that may lead to young children making purchases by mistake or leaving the app. Parents should know that the app’s homepage also includes options to purchase Fisher-Price toys that coordinate with the app, but kids need to know how to read numbers to enter the code.

Parents should be aware though, that screen time recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics do not recommend screen time for children under the age of two. Parents may want to take this into consideration before allowing their children to use this app.
