What is Verizon Messages?

Verizon Message+ is a communication app in which you can sync up your computer, phone, tablet and smartwatch to one network.

The Verizon Message+ app is available in the App Store and the Google Play Store and is rated for users of all ages. This app does feature in-app purchases.

The Verizon Message+ app makes staying in touch with family, friends, and employers easy. Some messaging features on the app include texts, group chats, photo and video sharing and the app lets you customize your experience and messages by including avatars, emoji, and wallpapers.

Verizon Message+ also works with Yelp and Kanvas, two apps that are widely used by college students. You can choose to share your location with other contacts that you choose specifically and you can decide how long your location is trackable. This is great for group outings when you want to keep everyone in the loop on your whereabouts. Then when you’re at home, you can turn location tracking off.

Some apps that are similar to this one include Pulse SMS and TextNow. The Verizon Message+ app has mixed reviews, and it’s not for everyone, especially if they already have a messaging app they prefer. That being said, it is popular with lots of working adults and busy moms, and it has over 50 million downloads.

Is Verizon Messages safe for my kids?

Verizon Message+ is safe for kids, but it’s best for teens and adults. Kids just won't have much use for this app, and parents might not want young children sharing their location with others.

Potential users should know that they no longer must be a Verizon customer to use this app. There are many features that make it a useful tool for people with busy schedules or who are constantly on the go. Voice and video calling and a Yahoo! Search engine are some of the popular functions on it. There is also a driving mode to encourage safety on the road.

Even though it’s a messaging and communications app, Verizon Message+ takes safety and security into account. For instance, you can remove other users from your group chat without interrupting the conversation and you can choose who you share your location with.

Content-wise this app is safe for kids and there is no age verification in place, but parents should know that there are other messaging apps available that are likely better suited for kids.
