What is Tubi - Watch Movies & TV Shows?
Tubi TV is a free TV and movie streaming app that allows uses to select shows from a huge library with fewer ads than regular TV.
The Tubi TV can be downloaded in both the App Store and the Google Play Store. It is rated for users 12 years of age and older. This app features in-app advertisements but there are no purchases offered.
Once users download this app and open it, they will not be prompted to create an account of any sort or to input any credit card information. Users are able to immediately start browsing TV shows and movies and begin watching on their device.
The Tubi app is pretty simple in it’s setup and features four tabs on it’s main screen: home, browse, search, and account.
The home tab list shows and movies that a user might be interested in from different categories. This includes, recommended, leaving soon and more. The next tab, browse, is does nearly the same thing as the home tab but it breaks down categories into an alphabetical list in order to help users discover more they might be interested in watching.
The search tab is self-explanatory in that it allows users to search for specific titles. This tab also lists a list of searches that are currently trending so that users can see what others are watching.
The last tab is the account tab which allows users to create or sign into their account. There doesn’t seem to be much of a reason to create an account other than to pick up from where you left off in a show or movie, across devices. Otherwise, an account is not necessary.

The Tubi TV app can be safe for teens with parental supervision.
With no credit card information, payment, or accounts required teens will not get into any trouble concerning spending. There is no way to contact other users and viewers do not have the option to leave comments or reviews on shows like other streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu.
The only concern for parents is that not all of the shows and movies available on this app are appropriate for kids or teens. Some of these titles may contain scenes and themes that are too mature, including horror, violence, alcohol and drug use, sexual content and nudity.
There are no parental controls available so parents should consider this before allowing their child to download the Tubi TV app. This app can be appropriate when used together as a family or perhaps with rules and limitations in place.
User reviews in both the App Store and the Google Play Store are both very high with few user complaints. Some users do note that sometimes the app does not play videos well or that ads seem excessive, but for a free app, this a great streaming option.
