JibJab is a sticker and GIF app that lets users create funny content that uses their faces and their friends' faces.

This app can be downloaded from both the App Store and the Google Play Store. It is rated for users 17 year of age and older and features in-app purchases.

Users can take selfies and use them to make e cards and stickers. JibJab connects to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, allowing users to share their creations directly onto or within the major social networks. Users can quickly and easily edit themselves and others into videos, popular music videos, cards, and humorous animations for use as greeting cards or social content.


After downloading this app users can sign in with an existing account or with an email address or Facebook account. Immediately, JibJab will need access to your camera and will ask users to take a selfie to place into photos and videos.

JibJab offers a left-hand menu so that users can find what sort of photo, video, or GIF they are looking for. This menu features: everything, GIFs, and your account. In addition to that it feature the member exclusives for ecards, music videos, and clips. Users also have the option of searching for what they are looking for.

JibJab feature in-app purchases for sending e-cards or for membership. These purchases range in price from $2.99 to $4.99.


Common user complaints mention that some users were not able to view new content. Other users also complained that with updates they now have to pay to download certain videos and that sharing videos now provide a link with attempts to get others to sign up.

Is JibJab: eCards, GIFs, & Videos safe for my kids?

The JibJab app is not safe for kids. Some of the app's content, especially that of an implicitly sexual nature, could be considered inappropriate for teen users as well. Kids can have fun with this app, but younger kids till need parental supervision.

Otherwise there are no chatting abilities so your children will not run into any strangers if you choose to allow them to use this app.

Parents who do so will want to pay attention to in-app purchases as it does cost money to send e-cards. Parents should set spending expectations with their children prior to allowing them to use this app. In-app purchases can also be turned off in the setting of your phone for this specific app.
