What is iAmNotified - Anti Spy System?
iAmNotified is an app that notifies a mobile device owner if someone attempts to physically access their phone. The iAmNotified app is simplistic, so even low-tech users can easily navigate it, and is available for a single purchase of $2.99. iAmNotified is only available in the App Store, for iOS devices, and is rated for users of all ages.
iAmNotified not only alerts the user whenever someone accesses their phone, but it can also serve to dissuade someone from trying to access the phone.
Users simply turn on the app and turn off their screen to activate the security feature. A fake notification appears on the screen and when someone accesses the phone, the notification disappears, letting the user know that their phone has been compromised. In this sense, users know that they need to change passwords and possibly alert their bank (especially if they use an online banking app) immediately, rather than waiting for identity or information theft to trickle down to them.
Users have two options for setting the iAmNotified app on their devices: stealth notifications or deterrent notifications. Deterrent notifications displays a notification on the device screen and once the iAmNotified app is initiated, announces that the device owner is monitoring the device. This gives any would-be intruders the chance to reconsider accessing the device.
With the deterrent notifications, users can choose from three options: a customized version or two auto messages, stating the date and time the device was locked, and that the device is being monitored.
iAmNotified’s stealth notifications pose as useful device notifications, masking their true purpose. iAmNotified offers several stealth notification options, to further customize and tailor to the individual user. Users can choose from receiving: Lucky Lottery Numbers, Famous Citations (an assortment of inspirational quotes), the Definition of a Complex Word, or a Fake Stock Exchange Alert.
For those users requiring even more advanced device protection, they can navigate to the settings menu to further customize the iAmNotified app for their phone.
Secret Lock is an option that allows the user to activate the app without anyone noticing. Users may also choose a Random Notification time, which varies the length of time between activating the iAmNotified app and when the notification is sent, which is anywhere from immediate to up to 3 minutes. Then, the app’s default setting generates a notification as soon as it’s activated.
Is iAmNotified - Anti Spy System safe for my kids?
iAmNotified is an app that parents may be on the fence about - partly happy about the protection it can provide their child’s phone, but equally reluctant because one of the developer’s selling points is appealing to kids whose parents “demand” their password.
Parents should be aware that the iAmNotified app doesn’t work to conceal items, so that isn't something they need to worry about. That being said, this app is safe for mature teens who will use this app with the approval of their parents.
