Hype Type is an app for people who take social media seriously. Instead of sharing a thought throughout the day in mere text, Hype Type allows users to animate their words with a selection of font types and colors, against the backdrop of a user’s photo, taken directly in the app or from the user’s camera roll.
Once users download and open the Hype Type app, a series of access permissions pop up to be approved or declined including access to a user’s camera, microphone and camera roll.
Once permissions are granted, the screen opens to the camera. Here users may opt to take a photo directly through the app for use or they can swipe up on their screen to access their device’s camera roll.
After selecting the photo they wish to use, users can then begin creating. Double-tapping on the screen opens a text menu where users can type in their message and play around with different font styles and colors.
Those users at a loss for words but still wanting to share some pithy saying on social media can opt to select one of the many quotes from the Hype Type library.
After positioning the text where they want it to appear on the backdrop, users have the option of adding music to their animated text graphic and are taken to a music library from which they can select a clip to play.
When they’re finished creating users have the option to save their animation, in addition to direct sharing links for Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Hype Type allows users to fine-tune their creations in the editing section by selecting the best format for the platform they wish to share on and deciding how they want the text to populate in their graphic, as well as adding a solid color backdrop to make text pop.

Those using the free version of Hype Type will find that they still have enough options to create animated text graphics that stand out among others, and even look professionally edited.
It’s important to note that those users who create graphics with the free version of Hype Type will have a watermark on their creations.

Users looking only to remove the watermark from their graphics can make a one-time purchase of $1.99 to ensure that the Hype Type watermark is removed from their creations.
Serious Hype Type users will benefit from a premium subscription that unlocks all of the app’s features, including ad removal, eliminating the Hype Type watermark from animated creations, and removing ads from the app altogether.
