As users move through their engine's daily jobs, they earn rewards in the form of “special surprise” pieces that allow them to build their own railway line. Some of the activities include raising a bridge, moving sheep back into their pens, and steering through roller coaster-like tracks without going off the rails.

There are also a number of mini-games for players to enjoy, such as Boulder Chase and Crazy Coaster Mountain. Fourteen of the Sodor engines are available to play with on your child's train set, including Ashima and Raul from the Great Race.
