What is Talking Tom Pool?

Talking Tom Pool is a slingshot game app, similar to Angry Birds, with the popular Talking Tom [cat] character.  The Talking Tom Pool app is free to download and play, but does feature advertisements and in-app purchases. Talking Tom Pool is rated for players ages four years and older and can be found in both the App Store and Google Play Store.

A puzzle game with flair, Talking Tom Pool has players slingshotting characters across the pool to match with characters with the same color floaties.  The levels get increasingly difficult, with obstacles and power-ups keeping players on their toes.

Once the Talking Tom Pool app is downloaded and opened, the app has users verify the year they were born and their gender, before beginning with an animation.

Players see Talking Tom walk up to an animal in a business suit, in front of a large entryway, hand him money, and receive a key in return. Talking Tom approaches the door with the key, unlocks the door and he and four friends go bouncing into an old waterpark.

Players see an overview of the park in their home screen, where they can select options to renovate areas of the park in exchange for keys. A key is earned at the completion of each game or level.

Pressing the large green play button on the home screen opens up the games, and first time players are given a quick demonstration turn to get the feel for the game. Simple enough, users select the character they wish to slingshot by tapping, and then a trajectory arrow appears; users can change their character’s trajectory simply by swiping.

Once Talking Tom Pool players have a shot lined up, the goal is to aim characters at characters with color coordinating floaties, users pull back and lift their finger to slingshot the character across the pull.

Like Angry Birds, slingshotting takes some skill, and users are forced to make angled and corner shots as the game progresses in order to make matches to clear the pool.

Players are given a set number of moves for each level, in which they must clear the pool, each level is completed once the pool is cleared of all swimmers.

If Talking Tom Pool players fail to clear the pool within the set number of moves, they lose a life and are offered the opportunity to purchase additional moves with coins, in order to complete the level.

Players who opt not to pay for additional moves are given the option to repeat the level.

Is Talking Tom Pool safe for my kids?

Parents should know that the Talking Tom Pool app is a free and safe for kids app with cute characters, set in a run down waterpark, decorated with vibrant colors.

While the Talking Tom Pool app is free to download and play, game currency, in the form of coin is beneficial once players reach higher levels with more difficult obstacles and angles to slingshot their floatie-wearing animal characters across pools.

In-app purchases take the form of coin packages, which range from $1.99 to $79.99. Purchases should be password protected prior to letting young children play.

Talking Tom Pool is definitely a fun, and addictive, app for players of all ages, and is especially suited for children. Parents should enable password protection for app purchases, prior to allowing young children to play.
