Add in the ability to save and share photos of the looks via social media, text and email, as well as create instant polls for friends to rate looks, Perfect365 can potentially be a perfect disaster.
Parents should be aware that the app also offers in-app purchases, ranging in price from $.99 to $2.99. In-app purchases include style selections (the app also provides clothing styling to compliment makeup looks) and candy shop purchases, which include select and special edition looks.
Special edition looks include costume, bridal and trending palettes, which are designed by professional makeup artists, and in reality, the special edition looks are incredibly similar to the filters one can find on Snapchat or Facebook Messenger.
Perfect365 can be a fun app to play around with, but parents with teens who are overly concerned about appearance would be best served by skipping this app altogether. As the app offers users the ability to purchase items outside of the app, parents should ensure that spending restrictions are set on the mobile device.
