Live.ly was a live streaming app affiliated with Musical.ly. The app has since been shut down.
Many used this app to broadcast a talent, such as musicians who wanted to connect with their fans. Live streaming is a great way for people to connect with their fan base and start the process of audience building.
Is live.ly safe for my kids?
Live.ly was only safe for mature teens.
The app had live video and chat, so there was the possibility of mature content being broadcast to viewers. Users could block and/or report viewers who commented inappropriately or posted offensive content.
Parents should also note that anyone could comment on your child’s broadcasts or invite them to a private conversation, so supervision was necessary for younger users.
This app had location services, so parents will want to make sure their child turns it off Live.ly and Musical.ly because the settings will carry over between apps.
