Kiwi is an app that allows users to post and answer questions, either anonymously or with their username.
This app is geared toward teens, and requires parent permission to download and use.
Kiwi offers the ability for users to search for questions in their geographic vicinity and the default setting for posting questions is to include the user's location.
Uers can opt to remain completely anonymous by turning off location services.
Is Kiwi safe for my kids?
Kiwi is only safe for mature teens to use. Many of the questions posted on Kiwi focus on romance, sex, and other typical teen quandaries such as drinking, drugs, smoking and breaking laws.
Kiwi does offer content and contact filtering in their settings. Kids can limit questions to only those contacts they know, filter who is able to find them in a search, and filter out questionable content and media.
The content, lack of moderation, location tracking and anonymity make this app unsuitable for kids.
