Is Hulu: Watch TV series & movies safe for my kids?
Hulu is safe for kids, with some adult supervision. A lot of the content on Hulu is safe for kids, but not all of it. Some content featured on the site features profanity, drug and alcohol references, sexual content and nudity, violence, and mature or suggestive themes.
Parents can create a profile for their kids, on which only shows in the "Kids" category can be viewed. This feature allows kids to log in to a content-filtered experience. No mature titles or recommendations will be shown to users logging in under a children's profile. Without this content filtering, it would be too easy for kids to find inappropriate content.
Older children will likely be able to find ways around the content filtering, like switching to another account. As with most TV streaming services, like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, Hulu may require parental supervision but does feature a lot of great kid-appropriate content.
Outside of some content that is not suitable for children, parents will not have much to worry about with the Hulu app. There are no additional in-app purchases in addition to the subscription cost and there are no chatting capabilities.
