The Google Sheets app is a mobile spreadsheet creation platform to accompany the full web version of Google Sheets. The platform performs much like Microsoft Excel, with one important benefit: users have the ability to share their sheets with group members to collaborate on team based projects.

Team members can see edits and additions in real time, on the same spreadsheet for all, so there is no miscommunication or delay.

Users have all the basic spreadsheet functionality, including cell formatting, sorting data, inserting formulas, and more. All changes are saved automatically to the Google cloud, so users never lose their work, and can access their sheets from any internet connected computer.

Google Sheets also allows users to passcode protect their spreadsheets with a 4-digit code, so sensitive sheets are safe. With the Google Slides app users can also work alone when offline, so internet connection is not necessary to edit spreadsheets.
