What is Geometry Dash World?
Geometry Dash World is the fast-paced follow-up to the popular Geometry Dash gaming app, in which players tap to quickly navigate their icon throughout a series of obstacles on a moving screen.
Players jump, fly and flip through caves and obstacles, in ten short levels, split between two worlds. Energetic electronic music adds to the feverish pace of Geometry Dash World.
Free to download, Geometry Dash World offers in-app purchases and plenty of advertisements.
Comprised of ten short levels, Geometry Dash World actually takes place between two worlds: Dashlands and Toxic Factory.
Geometry Dash fans have frequently expressed their dissatisfaction with the World follow-up, citing much shorter levels (around 30 seconds in length) at much easier difficulty levels. Much of what keeps fans coming back are the almost impossibly difficult levels of the original Geometry Dash (players keep playing until they are able to beat a level, which is a huge accomplishment).
Those players who log in on a daily basis to play are rewarded with daily quests and rewards. Rewards often come in the form of orbs, the game’s currency, which can be used in the Geometry Dash World’s store, and typically consist of changing or customizing one’s avatar/icon character.
As previously mentioned, Geometry Dash World’s levels are short, and the music featured within the app, primarily electronic dance music, fits the frenetic pace of the game. And a definite part of the draw of the game is the music produced by fan favorites, such as Dex Arson, Waterflame and F-777, which matches icon moves consisting of flying rockets and defying gravity.
Is Geometry Dash World safe for my kids?
Parents need to know that Geometry Dash World is the follow up to the original Geometry Dash and is safe for kids. Players test their reflexes and shape-situational awareness to jump, fly and flip through dark caves and obstacles.
While Geometry Dash World is free to download and play, the app is offset by featuring advertisements (heavily) and in-app purchases.
It should be noted that those playing the free app are not playing the full version of Geometry Dash World; the full version of Geometry Dash World is available online.
Geometry Dash World gives players the opportunity to discover lands and play online levels; this is where it can get tricky. Parents should closely monitor children’s use of the gaming app, as online levels are created by other members of the Geometry Dash World community, and contain commenting sections (and unknown content).
Parents should know that Geometry Dash World is fine from a content standpoint, as long as players stay on the app and away from the additional online content. Again, user-created levels may contain comments with profanity and bullying.
Age-wise, Geometry Dash World is rated for users ages 4 years or older, but is likely more suitable for users as young as 7 or 8 years old.
