What is Fotobabble?
With Fotobabble, users can create talking photos and add visual effects before uploading the pictures on social media.

The purpose of Fotobabble is to create a mixture between a video and a photo. By presenting a picture with a voice recording playing, users can update their followers in a quicker and easier manner than simply recording a video or typing a status.
Individuals can use the app in order to update their friends and family on major life events, share news from travels and vacation, and send birthday or other personalized greetings. Businesses can use it to advertise new products or promotions to their customers.
Once the app is downloaded, users can either upload a photo from their phone or take a new photo. From there, you can press the “Record” button in the bottom left of the app in order to begin creating your voice note.
If you would like to add special effects or stickers to your photo, you can make in-app purchases for $0.99 each.
When you have completed your talking photo, you can then directly export it to your social media platform of choice, including Facebook and Twitter.
Many users have made complaints about the app, with the most common being that it is oftentimes glitchy and does not allow you to make a voice recording for longer than 5 minutes.
Is Fotobabble safe for my kids?
Although iTunes states that Fotobabble is appropriate for ages 4+, it is best for teens over the age of 12.
Parents should know that Fotobabble does not restrict a user’s content in anyway. Because of this, users can upload photos and make voice recordings even if they contain inappropriate or explicit themes.
It is also important to note that while Fotobabble does not allow users to share content with each other through the app, it does allow individuals to directly post their talking photos on other social media sites.
If you are concerned about your child using Fotobabble in order to create inappropriate content, make sure to monitor their usage of the app.
Finally, Fotobabble does have access to certain information and data on users’ phones. If you do not like the idea of the developer having your child’s information or data, do not allow them to use the app.
