Designed for text aficionados who bring flirting over to their messaging platform, the Flirty Emoji Pro app adds a slew of adult emojis to user keyboards.
The Flirty Emoji Pro app is added to a user’s native keyboard, thus allowing them to access the emoji options quickly and easily when texting or messaging.
While people, including teens, seem to be doing just fine with eggplants, peaches, and bananas to depict sex acts, the Flirty Emoji Pro app takes out the symbolism and supplies users with a more obvious approach to flirting via text messaging.
Per the developer:
“Are you in a relationship or in love with a special someone? With this app, your messages will never be boring again! This is the largest and best collection of Flirty Emoticons for texting. We provide 1000+ flirty emojis sorted by four categories and can be easily browsed. Love, Naughty, Flirty and Dirty Emotions.”
After purchasing and downloading the Flirty Emoji Pro app, users must activate it for use on their keyboard. To add Flirty Emoji to a keyboard, users want to navigate to the Settings menu and select the General settings menu (features a gear icon on the left-hand side).
Once in the General settings menu, users scroll down until they see the Keyboard option. They should then tap to select that menu option.
Select Keyboards again, and then choose the option to Add New Keyboard. Users will see a list of languages displayed alphabetically on the screen and should scroll down until they see the Emoji option.
Once the Flirty Emoji keyboard is added, users will wish to test to ensure that the keyboard has been installed correctly, which can be done by navigating to their Messenger app and selecting a message to respond to or adding a recipient to begin a new message thread.
Once users tap in the text box, their keyboard will be displayed, and they’ll see the emoji keyboard option to the left of the space bar and microphone keys.
Tapping on the emoji keyboard option will open the full keyboard and users are free to scroll through to select the emoji(s) they wish to use.
Is Flirty Emoji Pro safe for my kids?
Parents need to know that the Flirty Emoji Pro app is an app that is only appropriate for adults, and it is rated as such. Rated for users 17 years of age and older, the Flirty Emoji Pro app is only available for iOS devices and costs $3.99 in the App Store. There are no additional in-app purchases or advertisements. This app is not safe for kids.
As the paid version of the app, Flirty Emoji Pro offers users even more suggestive emojis to be used with their partners or potential partners.
Again, these emojis are not appropriate for teens. While many of the emojis available are sweet and benign, many feature sexual innuendo via graphic depictions.
Perhaps the more alarming detail parents should be aware of is the fact that there are no terms of use or privacy policy linked to the app, leaving users in the dark about the information the app collects (and possibly shares).
When using the app information link from the App Store, users are taken to a web page that presents an error message and additional text in Chinese characters.
The real issue here is not whether the Flirty Emoji Pro app is appropriate for children under age 18 (it’s not), but whether the app is worth the $3.99 download cost to add sexual emojis to one’s keyboard.
