This fun, educational game is created for ages 1.5+. First Words features three colorfully animated games, matching, sorting, and find it, in which kids can practice 12 educational categories, including shapes, foods, colors, animals, and more.
The three games are designed to first teach, then reinforce, and finally perfect the skills they have learned.
In sorting, toddlers drag cards onto the identical pictures on the screen, and the name of each card is pronounced to help them learn the vocabulary. In matching, the kids find the missing halves of pictures to aid their visual recognition and categorization skills. Finally, in find it, kids practice the vocabulary skills learned by tapping on the picture of a word pronounced in the game.
The app receives positive reviews, scoring a clean 4 out of 5 in the app store review section. Many parents say their young kids, around 2 years old, love First Words and are learning as they play.
