What is Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go?

Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go is a location spoofing app.

For $3.99 users can download the Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go app and use it to generate spoof GPS locations.

Rated for users of all ages, Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go does not feature any additional in-app advertisements or purchases. This app is only available for Android devices.

The Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go app basically overwrites location for the GPS-driven game and allows users to not only spoof their location to play in a different city, but also provides a joystick so that players can roam from the comfort of their couches.

Is Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go safe for my kids?

Whenever "fake" or "spoof" appears readily in an app's descriptions, parents need to take notice. And while those users downloading the Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go app to cheat while playing the Pokémon GO app are using the app for relatively harmless means the Fake GPS app can be used for more nefarious purposes.

The Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go can be used to change geotag locations on photos, especially if parents check those locations and a child is somewhere they're not supposed to be.

In addition to that, the app can send fake locations to those requesting GPS location information. The app sells this as sending a fake location to "friends" but the reality is that most teens will send this to their parents when requested if they have the app.

Those parents with children who are using the Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go app to "game" the Pokémon GO app and cheat should know that they are in violation of that game's terms of service. In fact, players have had their Pokémon GO accounts suspended for 90 days for using the Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go app.

Pokémon GO players found in violation receive the following message:

Your account has been temporarily suspended due to the use of unofficial third-party software which violates the Pokémon GO Terms of Service. Your temporary suspension will be lifted in approximately 90 days. Once your account has been reinstated, our expectation is that you will continue to play with the official version of Pokémon GO available only on Google Play and the App Store. Please note that any further transgressions may lead to permanent and irreversible account termination.

Not only are users essentially hacking the Pokémon GO game by using the Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go app, but they're also going against the very nature of the game which encourages real-life exploration. Instead they can fake GPS coordinates and "exploring" the map from the confines of their home with a virtual joystick.

The amount of time most dedicated Pokémon GO players put into their game, even a 90- day slap on the wrist is bound to sting, let alone a complete account termination.

It's likely better to save the heartache and bypass an app that was created to be deceptive in the first place.

Apart from Pokémon GO penalties and ramifications, parents need to have the Fake GPS Joystick & Routes Go on their radar simply because of the duplicitous nature of the app.

Not only is the app being used to hack a game, but it's also being used to be deceptive about user whereabouts -- behavior most parents would not wish their child to engage in.  This app is not safe for kids.
