The Uno & Friends app allows users to play the popular Uno card game with family, friends and players worldwide.

The Uno & Friends app is available in the App Store and the Google Play Store. It is rated for users 9 years of age and older and offers in-app purchases and advertisements.

Once downloaded, users can open the app and enter their age and agree to the terms which indicate that email address and other information may be collected and used in accordance with the developer’s Privacy Policy.

Next, an avatar and nickname can be selected. There are different levels of game play, some of which require coins to access. Coins can be won during the course of the game or purchased.

There is a “Social” link within the app that when opened says: “Find friends and play to enjoy more fun together”. Users can then search for their friends using their player ID, send requests to play with other players around the world, or accept play requests. Users can also “spectate” the game play of others.

Users can watch video ads to earn coins, diamonds, shields, etc. to be used in game play. These tokens can also be purchased outright for $0.99 to $99.99.

On average, users give this app a rating of 4.0/5.0. Overall, users are impressed with the app but wish there were more options for gaining free tokens. This app is similar to Shuffle Cats by King and was last updated on 9/20/17. The update included minor bug fixes.

Is UNO ™ & Friends safe for my kids?

This app is safe for older kids and teens.

Although the classic Uno card game is kid-friendly, the app presents some concerns as it relates to children. Children may enjoy playing with friends and others that they know, but there is the threat of engaging with predators if they opt to send or accept play requests to/from strangers.

If there were controls or settings that allowed for blocking invites from strangers and children only played the game with their actual friends, this would be a safe and fun experience.

Should parents allow their children of any age to play this game, they should stress the importance of online safety and interactions with strangers.
