What is Print Photo - photo print app?
The Print Photos app is Walgreens’ native photo printing app that makes sending and printing photos quick and easy. Users can choose between 1-hour store pickup at their nearest Walgreens location or ship-to-home for a low $1.99 flat rate shipping fee.
The Print Photos app is free to download and use, but does feature in-app purchases.
The Print Photos App allows users to quickly select and send their photographs to be printed and either picked up at their local Walgreens or Duane Reade or have them shipped directly to their home.
Print Photos touts “pro quality” photo prints, however, those using the 1-hour photo service will only get the choice of glossy prints, and those are typically of lower quality.
When users first download and open the free Print Photos app, a pop-up appears, asking them whether or not they wish to receive push notifications. The Print Photos app offers 10% off of purchases for those customers who decide to receive push notifications, which may be worth it, plus, the app states explicitly that they send “No spam, only occasional PROMO CODES.”
Once users open the app and accept or reject push notifications, they’re given the option to begin selecting photos from their device’s photo gallery or photo folders on their phone or their device’s connected Cloud account.
The Print Photos app makes it incredibly easy for users to quickly select and send photos for printing, as they need only tap to choose pictures they wish to print from their gallery or folder.
Selected photos are automatically placed in the user’s cart for checkout. Once users finish picking their photos, they can navigate to their shopping cart to quickly adjust and print, or they can use the “Creations” menu option at the bottom of their screen to create gift items.
Under the “Creations” menu in the Print Photos app, users can opt to have select photos printed on canvas, printed as a poster or cards, or create a collage of their favorite images.
Again, utilizing the creative options in the Print Photos app is incredibly easy. Once a user decides which creative item they wish to print, they are taken to their photo gallery to select a photo and then to a screen that allows them to choose the size and placement of their photo on canvas.
Prices are marked in the Print Photos app, so users are aware of the cost of each of the items they choose, be it a single photo print or a custom photo canvas.
Items a user selects are found in their shopping cart, accessed by tapping the shopping bag icon located at the bottom middle of their screen. Photos chosen for prints will appear in the shopping bag with options to adjust the area of the picture to be printed, as well as the size of the copies to be ordered.
Each photo print also gives a quick “Make It A Poster” option. When users chose the poster option from their shopping cart, a new screen pops up with size options, prices, and the ability for users to adjust the photo frame for the area to be printed. Once selected, users tap “Add to cart” and continue with their selections.
Is Print Photo - photo print app safe for my kids?
The checkout portion of the Print Photos app is as easy as selecting the prints to be ordered. Users decide whether they wish to get their photo prints via in-store pickup or have their items mailed directly to their home.
Users also choose whether they want to to have their photos printed on glossy or matte paper in the checkout area.
Once pickup, paper and shipping options are selected, users enter their shipping address and payment information (the app only provides credit card options for payment, but states that it accepts Android and Apple Pay).
Those users who chose in-store pickup will not be prompted to pay, as the app does not support prepayment for pick up orders sent through the Print Photos app.
Once all of the information is filled out, users select “submit order,” and their pending order can be viewed in the “Order History” menu by tapping the envelope icon at the far right bottom of their screen.
In all, the Print Photos app is appropriate for users of all ages, and the fact that the app does not save credit card payment information makes it an even safer option for kids to have on their phone.
