What is My School Day?

The Social Skill Builder app is a social and communications skill-building app designed for children and teens. It focuses on developing communication and language skills based on common situations encountered in preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, and public spaces.

This app is available only in the App Store for iOS devices for $9.99.  In the full version, there are no additional in-app purchases or advertisements.  This app is rated for users of all ages.

Users are shown short video clips of scenarios they are likely to encounter and asked questions about what they believe the appropriate reaction in that situation. Module topics include school/preschool, community and playtime, and covers issues such as friendships, emotions, and critical thinking.

Each module contains ten questions to explore and video of associated interactions in real-world settings. Social Skill Builder's content was developed in consultation with experts in teaching social learning and development to children and teens with communication and language learning challenges, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, traumatic brain injury, Down Syndrome, and Attention Deficit or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

The Lite version of this app includes four modules and associated videos, with the option to purchase additional modules for $1.99 each. The full version contains nineteen modules. The developers suggest that parents who want to focus on specific skills, such as team games or playground etiquette, might be adequately served by the Lite version. A more comprehensive curriculum is available with the full version for $9.99.
