Another of the many dating apps on the market, Meetville is an app for adults, not children. Anytime an app connects strangers for the purpose of meeting, especially those in the same locale, it rules out applicability to minors.
Like the popular dating app Tinder, Meetville is based upon appearances, despite the app’s boast of “Smart matching based on common interests, values, and psychological compatibility.”
While Meetville is touted as a free app, the reality is that users must pay to get anything out of the app. Those users wishing to connect with others or reach out to other users on the platform must pay some subscription or membership fee.
A Meetville subscription is $39.99 for one month, $59.99 for three months, and $79.99 for a six-month membership subscription. Meetville’s not exactly cheap and is definitely not free, so the likelihood of a minor using the app is low, but parents should be aware of the app nonetheless.

The long and short of it is that Meetville is a hookup app and is not used by people looking for long-term or meaningful relationships. A quick look at user reviews and feedback offers a glimpse, with many users admitting that they were only on the app for one thing, and that thing is not a relationship.
Parents, if you find the Meetville app on your child’s phone you should have a conversation and also find out who they have been communicating with on the app, as they could be arranging to meet up with an adult.
One last item of note is that reviewers have complained about the high instance of bot, fake, or scam accounts on the app. As such, the developers issue the following statement:
