The AppLock app allows users to individually lock virtually every app they may have on their phone, keeping personal information safe and secure.

When users first open the MAX AppLock app, they’ll be prompted to make a pattern by connecting dots on the screen and then enter their email address. Once users have settled upon a lock option and code, they’re taken to a screen to begin selecting the apps they wish to lock.

What’s unique about the MAX AppLock app is the number of locking options it presents. Users may set a pattern lock, like the one used for the initial login, a numeric lock, or a fingerprint lock (if the user’s device possesses this option).

In-app purchases come in the form of subscriptions for premium options and range in price from $0.99 per month to $11.99 per year.

MAX AppLock’s premium options allow users to completely customize their app-locking system. Subscribers have the option to set timed locks which enable app locks at a specific time each day.

A location lock feature automatically engages MAX AppLock when a user’s device connects to specific Wi-Fi networks. In addition to custom locking options, MAX AppLock subscribers have the ability to create profiles for different situations, such as locking specific apps for child use or setting custom lock profiles for home or work.

Is MAX AppLock - Privacy guard, Applocker safe for my kids?

MAX AppLock is also great for parents with young children, as they can lock all of the apps on their phone except the ones they allow their child to play, protecting phone settings and accidental postings and deletions.

While MAX AppLock is an excellent option for additional security on mobile devices, parents should be sure to ascertain why their children have an app that locks individual apps and options on their phones, especially if they’ve not discussed installing the app beforehand.

Parents also need to be aware that MAX AppLock features a photo vault, which allows users to move photos and videos from their gallery to a private, secured folder.

Users also have the ability to lock photos and videos on an individual basis. In addition to a private photo and video vault, MAX AppLock gives users the option to disguise the app by making the icon appear as a calculator on the screen.

Parents should take note if they see more than one calculator option on their child’s phone, as one may be acting as a decoy for a photo vault.

One last note about the MAX AppLock, parents should not attempt to unlock apps on their child’s phone, as the security app snaps a selfie each time the wrong code is entered. Instead, parents should ask their child why they feel the need for an app lock.
