What is LEAP Mobile?

LEAP is the mobile app for law firms already using the LEAP legal management and accounting software. Users can access information about clients and accounts, as well as capture billable time and generate emails with essential files attached, with the LEAP Mobile app.

Those not already familiar with LEAP legal management software should know that it’s a program created to help small law firm owners run their firms on-the-go. With the secure LEAP Mobile app, users can view client information, send and receive correspondence relating to client matters, and time record for billable hours.

The LEAP Mobile app allows users to place client calls directly through the app and set the app timer to record the length of time for later billing. The LEAP Mobile app provides secure and convenient access to a user’s client matters and allows them to create, save and share Word documents via a mobile device.

The LEAP Mobile app can also organize critical dates and tasks into a quick view so that users are quickly apprised of their upcoming workflow and deadlines.

When users log in to the LEAP Mobile app they’ll be prompted to enter a username and password using the same credentials as the desktop version of LEAP. Once logged in, users are taken to a screen displaying their list of “matters” or client matters. Matters are searchable in the LEAP Mobile app; users type in the name or matter number into the search bar at the top of their screen to pull up the preferred matter.

LEAP Mobile users are also able to further refine their search results by tapping the filter button in the upper right-hand corner. Users have the option to filter Firm Matters by All, Current or Archived matters; users may filter their own matters under the My Matters menu and choose from the following options: Current Matters, I’m Responsible For, I’m Acting On, I’m Getting Credit For, and I’m Assisting.

Tapping on selected matters reveals the essential details of the file, which can be further refined or explored by swiping across the top menu of options and drilling down even deeper into more specific areas the file. File menu categories include Details (shows an account overview), Correspondence, Calendar.

Tapping on the client card under Details in a matter will give all of the client details, including phone number(s), email address, mailing address, and website; icons next to select options allow users to call, text or email their client directly from that screen, in addition to opening a map displaying their physical address on a map. Cards for both employees and clients can be accessed from the main screen under the main menu.

Is LEAP Mobile safe for my kids?

The LEAP Mobile app is safe for kids, but there is no reason they would need to use this. Parents won't likely find a situation where their child would either be able to access this law firm software nor would they be privy to any of the information included in client case files.

If, for any reason, kids were to access this app though, there are not many safety concerns involved as this would likely not hold their interest. The main concern would be access to private and confidential information, but in general this app isn't likely to be used by children.

LEAP Mobile is free to download and use, is rated for users of all ages and does not feature any in-app advertisements or purchases.

The LEAP Mobile app makes it incredibly easy for small law firm owners to stay apprised of their employees, their clients, and their workload on-the-go but is not intended for children.
