What is Elevate - Brain Training?

Elevate is a brain training app, offering over 40 games designed to test language skills and build upon existing skill levels. Users are able to track their progress in this brain boosting app, and challenge themselves with a personalized program that adjusts to individual skill levels.

The Elevate app is available for iOS and Android devices.  It is rated for users of all ages.  This app does feature in-app purchases.

Supported by research, Elevate’s games are designed in collaboration with experts. Elevate is free to download and play, but also offers premium subscription plans.

Elevate was named Apple’s App of the Year in 2014 and an Editor’s Choice in Google Play, is a brain-boosting app, mean to challenge and improve cognitive skills. While Elevate is free to download, users have access to additional brain challenges by subscribing to one of the app’s premium plans, which range in price from $4.99 to $44.99.

To begin working with the app, Elevate users select the areas in which they’d like to improve including grammar, vocabulary, math skills, and the app serves games aimed to challenge and boost brainpower and skill level in those areas.

Users are given performance feedback after each session, and are able to compare or track results against previous sessions; premium or pro plan subscribers have the additional ability to compare their performance to other Elevate users across the platform.

With adaptive difficulty progression, users are given increasingly difficult games to challenge their brain, and can even access a “workout” calendar to track streaks and stay motivated with their brain-boosting exercises. Premium plan subscribers enjoy additional brain-bending games, which help hone how users speak, listen, read and write.

At the very least, Elevate serves games that require brain power, opposed to the myriad of mindlessly entertaining game apps available on the market. Those who believe the brain is a muscle, and therefore must be exercised accordingly, will find Elevate the perfect “gym” for brain boosting workouts.

Is Elevate - Brain Training safe for my kids?

While the Elevate app is safe for kids and rated for everyone, older children and teens will likely benefit the most from it, as the training exercises are structured for those who already have a solid English language foundation, with knowledge of grammar conventions and an extensive vocabulary.
