The Deezer app is rated for users 12 years of age and older. It can be downloaded for free in both the App Store and the Google Play Store. This app features both in-app purchases and advertisements.

Acting as a personal music and podcast player, Deezer is yet another option for music fans to use. When users first open this app they will be prompted to either sign in with their account or create a new one. Users creating a new account for the first time will be asked to provide an email address, a username, a password, and to confirm their age and gender.

After that Deezer asks to know which kind of music you may be interested in so that it can begin populating your home page with new music and recommendation. Genre that you choose in this step will be displayed first in your browse section followed by all other genres.

Deezer, like Spotify, offers many features for users including:

In-app purchases are made through subscriptions to the service and Deezer offers plans from $12.99 a month for personal accounts to $17.99 a month for family accounts, both offer users unlimited skips and downloads as well as no advertisements.

Is Deezer: Music & Podcast Player safe for my kids?

The app itself is safe for kids but some of the content available will only be appropriate for teens and older users. Parents should be able to make a clear judgement call about whether or not their child is ready to use this app.

That being said, if a users elects to subscribe to a family plan, Deezer does feature the option of creating a “child account” that excludes content that is not appropriate for younger users.

Parents should also know that this app is a monthly subscription that will auto renew through the app stores until cancellation. Parents will want to give permission for this before allowing their child to use the app as $12.99 a month is fairly steep.

Parent will not have much to worry about with this app outside some of the content.
