Once the app is downloaded, users can select which game they would like to start with. Each of the 5 games is related to a different reading component, such as learning the order of the alphabet, writing both lowercase and uppercase letters, and practicing letter sounds.
In order to encourage children to advance throughout the app, players are able to earn over 400 different virtual stickers that they can use to decorate their personal sticker book.
Additionally, parents have access to their own account in order to view their child’s progress and see what scores they are receiving when playing the games.
While most parents have left positive reviews for the app, as well as PBS Kids’ other games, such as Super Why! Power to Read and Super Why! Phonics Fair, some users have complained that the app tends to freeze and that their children are unable to finish the games.
