Players are rewarded, for daily play and point accumulations, with gold, which can then be cashed in for upgrades, and best of all, evolving a players shark, from a simple reef shark to the fiercest giant that ever roamed the sea, Megalodon.
In Hungry Shark Evolution, players navigate their shark by either tilting their device or using a screen control pad. As the shark, players must eat everything in their path to prevent from starvation and a green bar with a heart in the upper right hand corner of the screen shows a player’s life level. Virtually everything in the game is edible, from crustaceans to boats and people.
It’s an eat or be eaten world in Hungry Shark Evolution, so players must beware of scuba divers with spears, submarines with torpedoes, as well as larger predatory fish and sharks. When a player’s shark is attacked, it will turn red and their green health bar will deplete rapidly, however this can easily be remedied by navigating away from the predator and eating as much as possible.
While players can swim aimlessly through the underwater worlds, tapping the bottom left corner will reveal a map of the water world in which the player is swimming. Rewards and special missions are clearly marked on the map, so players would be wise to navigate through to collect as much as possible, eating everything in their path and avoiding predators along the way.
With over 40 possible missions, and a slew of shark upgrades and accessories, Shark Hunt Evolution will keep players busy and engaged for a long time.

Shark attacks are the object of the game, so parents should be aware that violence, albeit cartoon violence, features heavily into the game, and blood is shown whenever the shark consumes another living thing. For example, when the shark eats scuba divers or people in boats, on rafts or on land, players are met with a gurgled scream or shriek, respectively.
Parents should know that Shark Hunt Evolution is rated for players 12 years or older, and may contain themes of horror/fear, profanity/crude humor, cartoon or fantasy violence, as well as realistic violence (especially in terms of attacks on people).
As the attacks are animations, parents should use their own judgement to gauge whether their child is mature enough to play Shark Hunt Evolution.
