Users have the ability to play hair stylist for 7 princesses and their lovable pets, as they consult with them about their desired looks, and wash, color and style them in their dream looks.

Mingled in is travel to the 8 wonders of the Wispy Forest and an opportunity to take photos (screenshots) of the looks they create.

The Barbie Dreamtopia - Magical Hair app offers extremely limited options for free. While this is a Barbie app, young users may find it frustrating that they are not automatically given Barbie to style at the outset.

Instead, users may only style Barbie’s younger sister, Chelsea, on the free level. All other characters and options are locked until purchased.

In-app purchases range in price from $3.99 to $9.99 in this app and any progression through the app will require additional purchases to unlock characters and levels.

Players who pay to unlock the entire app will have free reign with all seven princesses and their pets. In the app, children have the opportunity to listen to directions from their princess or pet and see how well they’re able to execute the instructions through styling.
