What is Army Men Strike?

Army Men Strike is a war strategy game featuring plastic army men and taking place in a child's bedroom.  Army Men Strike is free to download and play, but does feature in-app advertisements and purchases. The Army Men Strike app is rated for players 12 years of age and older.

As the name would suggest, Army Men Strike is a war strategy game in which players use virtual plastic army men to maneuver against opponents in campaigns.

Army Men Strike begins with a boot camp of sorts where players are shown how to maneuver throughout the game, whether it be weapons training or how to command troops.

Because players are utilizing virtual plastic soldiers (or Army Men) from WWII, the weapons and equipment are from the same era, in addition to the war strategy.

While players are maneuvering virtual plastic soldiers throughout the Army Men Strike game, the sound effects are realistic. When military strikes occur, players will hear the sounds of army men screaming as they’re shot, bombed and even run over.

In addition, explosions and other damage to military equipment are animated in the Army Men Strike game, illustrating successful (and unsuccessful) strikes.

Each day, players are given timed daily quests which are then rewarded at completion with level-ups and gold, the in-game currency.

Those players who wish to progress through Army Men Strike at a quicker pace, may utilize in-app purchases for gold, paying to acquire equipment and troops on-demand. In-app purchases range in price from $0.99 to $99.99.

While Army Men Strike is a military strategy game, the child-like aspect of the app shouldn’t be overlooked. In a Toy Story-esque vein, the army campaigns and battlefields are all housed in a child’s bedroom and take place on the floor.

Pan out and players will see other toys, scattered about and lining the edges of the battlefields playing into the whole virtual effect of playing with plastic army men on a mobile device.
